CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Child’s double-sided tabletop chalkboard with tray base; circular board slotted into two vertical arms connected with threaded bolts to an adjustable easel-like base painted or lacquered in a high-gloss red, with yellow accents and composed of a storage tray and two swinging legs, one pointed and one notched on each side that fit together to form a rigid triangular support on either side of the writing surface. A small hand grip is slotted onto the top of the chalkboard. White metal manufacturers’ label "ado / NEDERL. FABRIKATT" is tacked to center front of tray. Bolts allow easel legs to fully rotate and function in either direction; wear on easel feet suggest it was used in both directions.
Condition: Seems to retain original paint surface. The proper right arm may be a replacement as it is less worn than the other pieces (and appears different under ultraviolet light).
