    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION a: container b: lacquer cover High-fired water container (mizusashi) with flower-shaped mouth and painted abstract pattern in blue, brown, black, silver, and gold.The interior is a brilliant blue with a lacquer cover. Object arrived with a signed storage box. Inscription on lid of box reads: 'shiki/shoku e kin gin sai wa/rin hana mizu yubi'. This roughly translates to 'coloured picture [with] gold and silver circles [of] flower water fingers'. Inscription on inside of lid states that the work was made by Maeda Masahiro.
