CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Nearly flat platter, roughly an elongated oval, rounded at one end with corners at the other end. Glossy dark green glaze forms a rounded rectangle at the center base. This form is flanked by large white circles atop slim white "stems," painted on the dark clay surface. These forms, with the red dots at the top, recall candlesticks and the ligh emanating from the flames. The entire top surface (except for the green area) is covered with a delicate pattern of floral outlines in white or gray. Light red spots appear on each of the white circles.
Object has a storage box signed by the artist.
