CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Standing figure of indeterminate gender, with a tall coiffure or hat composed of a conical diamond shape surmounting projecting cones. Figure has projecting ears and nose, with the latter turned upward sharply at the end. Its arms are held at chest-level, at the sides. The back of the figure reveals the arms and legs to have been treated aesthetically as distinct units, as they end in sharply differentiated flat, conical elements in the shoulders and buttocks. It appears to have been treated with red khula powder. Feet are screwed to a wooden base from below. Condition: good.
