CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Female figure (ihambe), mounted on a base, with both feet and a portion of (L) leg missing. The figure has a tri-lobed coiffure, and a face notable for its partially intact, inset glass eyes. There is some loss to the end of the nose. The ears are concave, with a raised ridge in the middle. The figure rests with hands clasped below two large, slightly irregular, breasts. Three strands of beads are indicated by three raised ridgeds above a small projecting umbilicus. The figure has a fine surface, indicative of use.
