CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Small, light, rectangular box, with conforming, stepped and hinged lid, with overall molded modernistic design, raised ripple lip at front center of lid and interior wood liner and raised on four small silvered metal feet. Impressed decoration on lid, proper right: asymmetrical three quarter circle with spherical bands, three narrow bands radiating from top of circle to corner and narrow, three bands, diagonal arrow design across lid. Proper left: stylized rising sun set in a rectangle against a background of varied stylized chevrons, diaper pattern and circles. Smaller scale repeats of decorative design continues over all four sides of box, proper left: geometric design with stylized rising sun repeated on long and short ends. Two small hidden, long metal hinges hold lid in place.
Condition: very good, some light tarnish and light wear to feet; small rectangular darkened area proper left.
