CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Group of twelve (12) small objects carved in semi-precious materials, some of them pierced to wear as beads and others not. Unpierced objects may have been part of consecration offerings deposited in icons or stupas, or they may have been donated to temples or shrines as votive objects. Also possible that they served as amulets.
Objects are as follows:
1. Jain triratna carved of bone or ivory, flat
2. unidentified carved object in rock crystal, pierced
3. Seed-shaped object, apparently carved from shell
4. Unidentified object (animal?) carved from amethyst
5. Unidentified object carved from jade-like green stone
6. Triangular light green stone with two piercings
7. Recumbent antelope carved of dark stone
8. hourglass-shaped piece of ivory, pierced lengthwise
9. Unidentified carved carnelian bead
10. Fragmentary animal carved of bone
11. Turtle carved of dark stone
12. X-shaped bone carving with deep incisions and central piercing.
