CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Faceted cylinddrical slit gong with figure of the top half of a makara (sea monster) at the top. The gong has low-relief diagonal lines circling its body, within which is an inscribed incription in Kawi script - to be read. The gong is topped with foliate or flaming flourishes, on top of which is attached the separately-cast makara head.
