Markings

Marks (on reverse): Impressed "WEDGWOOD/12x59; transfer-printed in brown: in center is a circular key or legend to the scenes on front with "8" at the center and "Position/of ships" above and "Limited/Edition/1960" below. Around the edge of the circle (clockwise) are the numbers 2, 4, 6, 5, 3, 1, referring to the location of the ships on front. Left of this circle is a smaller circle made up of the words "of ETRURIA & BARLASTON" and enclosing "WEDGWOOD/MADE IN/ENGLAND." To the right of larger circle is a smaller circle made up of the words "ENGRAVD BY THE WEDGWOOD STUDIOS" surrounding a diamond shape with crossed nails. Below this is: "USS ENTERPRISE."
