    MARKINGS Company logo (Doulton /Silicon/ Lambeth) / "ENGLAND", "9448"; [gg] [O] all impressed; adhesive paper label: "1148". Four impressed marks on metal ring at rim: [JF? JB?JT?](raised in an oval), lion passant, [leopard head?], date letter [possibly "O" (1909-1910)].

    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Two-handled molded brown U-shaped lustre ware chalice on trumpet shaped foot. Body with illusionistic asymmetrical seams, and applied circular molded bolts all to resemble metal construction. Eight deliberate "dents" have been impressed irregularly on the body and foot of the cup to effect wear. Applied, molded square profile C-shaped handles with incised lines along sides and "rivets". Silver ring around rim of cup. Condition: Very good. Silver is tarnished.
