CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Shallow bowl shaped compote with reticulated edge and polychrome decoration, on rocaille stem over a raised disc base. Interior of compote with painted decoration of 'Calton Hill, Edinburgh' set in a green landscape with people in the foreground, outer edge of bowl reticulated with a molded small flower design painted in gold. Compote on an inverted cone shaped base with applied rocaille leaves, set on a raised disc base with raised small flower design as before, with highlights in gold paint and thick gold band at base. Some dark spots on central decoration which may come off with cleaning.
