Vase, ivory-bodied porcelain, shape 696; double-fan shaped; in the Japanese manner, the front molded as a pale-blue folding fan, painted with a large spray of puce and yellow flowers with silver and bronze leaves with gilt veining; the reverse molded as a pale-blue circular fan similarly painted in an abbreviated fashion with pink and white flowers and a hovering butterfly in polychrome accented with gilt; the two fans molded together at the base with a bronze rope with gilded tassels.
