    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Vase; white-bodied porcelain; shape 281; oval body with square neck and rectangular base and elephant head handles. The base and neck with sang de boeuf ground enlivened with bamboo leaves in white and sang de boeuf, enriched with gilt. The body in white, with sang de boeuf quatrefoil reserves on front and back, painted with gilt dots and gilt border. One side with molded bird in flight and flowering branches in white and sang de boeuf, enriched with gilt outlines; the other side with large molded peony in white and sang de boeuf, enriched with gilt outlines. Handles painted in black, with applied gilt sponging.
