CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Straight-sided beaker with cast images of Indonesian zodiac fsymbols in low relief circling the base of the beaker and larger figures above. A group of these beakers is known, many bearing dates between 1321 and 1430. Some are still used in rituals in eastern Java and Bali, but their original function and interpretation remain unclear.
