CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Pitcher, glazed earthenware. Hexagonal form with wide molded foot rim, baluster body and straight neck. Down-curving flat spout opposite scrolled handle. Each panel on the body of the pitcher (except the one below the handle, which is vacant) is filled with molded decoration of a spray of flowers and outlined with lacy crochet decoration. Each of the four panels on the neck is similarly decorated. On either side of the spout are floral vine motifs that appear to grow from the decorative border. Overall dull yellow color with a high glaze.
Condition: Good overall condition. Abrasions to base of foot from use. Staining, also from use. Minor crack to lip of pitcher, probably from firing.
