CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
(a) Vertical rectangular painted black with elaborate gilt and polychrome decoration. Convex front with a small drawer below the top with gold symmetrical wreath around centered round gold-colored metal pull with central drop. Convex lower door with recessed center oval decorated with asymmetrical gold floral motif with red flower centered at bottom and green foliage above; pull missing. Join of front and sides with round profile decorate with carved and gold applied leaves and berry clusters below top and at feet.
(b) White/gray shaped marble top with beveled edge and rounded front corners.
One thin shelf (prop81.114.3a-b) (broken) inside the stand which is not original to the stand.
Condition: Vertical crack to front door. Over-all scratching. Loss to paint and wood at join of door to cabinet proper right.
