CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Pitcher. Julius Caesar jug glazed buff body, bellied shape, and base is octagonal shaped. Modeled D-shaped handle, which is decorated with foliage. On front: molded high relief scenes of Julius Caesar landing and on back: Boadicea addressing her army. Under these scenes is a band of foliage and acorns.
Condition: Very good. Minor chips on rim lid. glaze crazed in some places on bottom.
