CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Doorknob. Round with frontal bust of Asian female figure holding parasol behind head. Concave parasol with radiating spoke pattern with alternating incised herringbone design. Portrait head has traditional Japanese headdress, kimono with incised floral pattern. Round outer edge of knob has centered relief pattern of beads with incised line above and below in continuous row around knob.
Condition: Some green incrustation and/ or residue in crevices around the central figure.
