CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A rounded tea pot with lid, decorated with transfer-printed polychrome designs of stylized branches and pomegranates on a white ground. At center is an open picture book revealing a scene with two girls sitting on a green pasture, flanked by a Chinese brush and ink landscape on light blue ground and a rounded fan decorated with fish in the Chinese style. The round lid with a small hole and an acorn-shaped knob topped with gold. Gilt lines along handle, spout, rim of pot and lid. Part of a 11-piece tea set.
CONDITION: Excellent.
