CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Finely woven, gauze-like summer kimono with rectangular, pendant sleeves. Indigo-dyed asa (hemp cloth) with an allover white resist wrap and weft kasuri (ikat) repeat pattern of tea ceremony utensils: bamboo whisk, iron trivet, container for charcoal, plus a flower arrangement in a basket, individual plum blossoms, and butterflies.
Condition: no damage; shortened by tucking up about 8 in. at the waist.
