Chair repaired and polished by Vilmos Gruenbaum, 1401 Newkirk Avenue, Brooklyn, N.Y., prior to purchase. The chair had been over cleaned prior to this restoration and was uneven in color. The color was darkened and evened out. A small piece of veneer to lower proper right portion of back fretwork was replaced. Upholstery was carried out by Larry Gordon, The Upholstered Room, 416 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, and N.Y. The fabric supplied by the upholsterer is old, probably early 20th century; gimp also is old.
