CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Oyster ladle with a plain bowl. Handle has undulating outline and an "S" shape contour. The handle is covered with a dense over-all design of scrolling and molded dots in fairly high relief against a stippled background. About 1/3 the length from the end of the handle is a heart-shaped reserve that is blank, but intended for initials. The reverse of the handle has very abbreviated but similar scrolling decoration in much lower relief. Opal Pattern. CONDITION: The laddle has scratching and pitting in the bowl. This piece is especially heavy in weight.
