CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Table spoon with plain bowl. Handle is molded in very high relief. The lower half of the stem flares slightly and then is pinched before flaring again into an undulating Rococo form which culminates in a pointed scalloped end. The floral decoration begins at the base of the stem with entwined tendrils and a small leaf. The tendrils frame the lower third of the undecorated stem and cross over the body of the handle before it is pinched. The decoration then becomes dense; leaves, a large open flower below the scrolled pointed crest. The reverse has similar but much abbreviated decoration, and lacks the two large flowers and leaves, but does have a small bud and leaves at the top of the handle. Grenoble Pattern.
Condition: Normal wear. Good. Some minor scratches and pitting in bowl.
