CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Teaspoon with a plain bowl. Lower third of stem undecorated. Decoration begins on stem with a molded elongated loop and then four very narrow incised bands. Middle of stem punctuated by a narrow band of three molded ovals and then another narrow band of molded diamond shapes. Handle then flares with straight sides which flare markedly into an elongated oval which culminates in an upwardly curving point decorated with a small florette. This half of the stem is decorated with a small diamond border. A diagonal band of three roundels each contain a six-pointed star is superimposed on a stylized plant with two leaves at its base which branches into two tripartite flowers. The elongated oval portion of the handle is an empty field (intended for initials). "Hartford
Pattern.
Condition: The teaspoon is lightly scratched over most of the surface and there is a small loss of plate on heel of spoon.
