    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Steep-sided bowl with gilt interior sits on simple stem, slightly domed foot. Foot is raised off ground by four cast, tripartite anthemia on square bases. Surface of bowl, steam and foot is acid-etched in random surface pattern and oxidized in intaglio areas. Below the rim of the bowl is a die-rolled band of interlocking chevrons, gilt. In center of stem is die-rolled band of Oriental lozenge, web and flower design, gilt. Applied to sides of bowl are cast, gilt pine and bamboo (?) branches with a cast, gilt bird on pine branch. Applied to foot are cast, gilt branches. Engraved on side of bowl to right of bird, in Gothic block letter: D" CONDITION: Gilding worn, especially in bottom of bowl and on highest areas of applied bird and branches.
