CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Human terracotta head. Nine beard-like appendages on chin, scarification marks on cheeks and forehead and temples. Nose is flared, eyes and mouth protrude. Neck is ringed; ears like half circles protrude from sides of head. Hair is indicated by tubular like extensions. There are traces of red paint.
CONDITION: Check on back of head horizontally across to left ear where there is a verticle check. Checks on left rear portion of head. Several of the cylindrical hair decorations are missing and surface is worn. Checks over eyebrows on left temple and top of skull. Some of the beard-like extensions are missing. Head is mounted on modern black metal base.
