December 25, 1928
Prompted by the announcement of the death of the well-known American artist Arthur B. Davies the Curator of Paintings of the Museum has arranged a group of fifteen of his paintings which at the time of his death were in the hands of the Museum. They should prove of great interest to the large public which followed the work of Mr. Davies as they are very representative and strong examples of his earlier period. They cover an entire wall in the southeast corner of the new wing on the third floor of the Museum and will be on view for several weeks.
