  • June 3, 1977 To launch its Summer Semester, which begins July 5, The Brooklyn Museum Art School, Eastern Parkway and Washington Avenue, will hold Open House on Sunday, June 12, between 1:00 and 4:00 P.M. The public is invited to watch demonstrations of classes in jewelry-making, ceramics, stained glass, weaving, printmaking, and sculpture. An instructor and model will be present for visitors who would like to try sketching from life. Faculty members will be available to counsel prospective students, to review portfolios, and discuss courses. Refreshments will be served.

    Recent work by the summer faculty will be on view from June 8 through July 12; interested students can see current concerns and directions.

    It will be possible to register in the Art School Office during the afternoon of the Open House. Registration continues daily from 10 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Wednesdays until 7:30. Information is available by calling 638-4486.

    Students at The Brooklyn Museum Art School enjoy the advantages of studying art in a great museum with a faculty of national reputation. More than 50 different kinds of part-time, full-time, day and evening classes are being offered during the new semester.
