  • March 16, 1945 Woodcuts and lithographs by Aristide Maillol, French artist who died late last year at the age of eighty-three, will be shown in the Print Gallery of the Brooklyn Museum beginning Friday, March 16.

    A prolific artist, his sculpture, prints and drawings are well known. Among the works exhibited are lithographs illustrating Ovid’s L’AMOUR DE L’ART and woodcuts illustrating DAPHNIS ET CHLOE by Longus. The exhibition is current through May 20.
