  • November 17, 1944 On Sunday, November 19th at 3:30 P.M. the Brooklyn Museum will present a program of the Music of Holland. The music to be presented will include that of Dutch composers as well as early Dutch folksongs. The songs will be performed by the Orpheus Choral Society, conducted by Gerard Alphenaar, and by Miss Alida Boerkoel, soprano soloist, who will be accompanied by Ise Joels, pianist. It is interesting to note in connection with this program that many of the songs included in the repertoire of the Orpheus Society have been arranged for choral singing by Gerard Alphenaar, the conductor. The performance is free to the public.

This program is arranged in connection with the exhibit of Modern Architecture and City Planning of Holland now on view in the Museum.
