January 8, 1942
On Thursday, January 8, the Brooklyn Museum will open an exhibition of selections from its Lending Library of American Prints. This showing, which will be held in the Print Gallery, 2nd floor, will run through Sunday, January 25. Approximately thirty prints will be shown in the exhibition.
The exhibition is given for the purpose of drawing attention to the Museum’s Lending Library of American Prints, which was inaugurated last spring. Sixty-three different artists are represented in the Library, which contains, to date, one hundred prints.
Residents of New York State may borrow one or more of these framed prints for one or two months; the minimum fee being 50 cents a print, the maximum, $2.50.
The Museum established this service for the general public and for the benefit of American artists.
