The Eighth Annual Exhibition of American Block Prints will open April 15th at the Brooklyn Museum. The collection will remain on view at the Museum for the months closing Juno 15th. This exhibition which is assembled by the Print Club of Philadelphia is one of the largest of its kind and artists from all over the country contribute to it. There are 88 prints in the present show, including n representative group of interesting work in color printing.
Tho Mildred Boericke Prize was awarded to “Revival” by Isaac Friedlander and Honorable Mention to Mons Broidvik for his popular "Flight into Egypt”; Steven Dohanos for “The Furnace Floor”; and to Howard Cook for his decorative “Coconut Palm”.
Among those represented in the exhibition are: Holon West Heller, J. J. Lanckos, Leo J. Meissner, Hobson Pittnam, Emil Ganso,Thomas W. Nason, Ilse Bischoff, Richard Bennett, Rockwell Kent, Betty Waldo Parish, Angelo Pinto, Dwight C. Sturges and Blanche Lazzell.
