The Sixth Annual Exhibition of American Block Prints assembled by the Print Club of Philadelphia has just opened at the Brooklyn Museum and will remain on view in the Print Gallery through July 31st.
The Print Club of Philadelphia has become one of the most active and prominent of organizations devoted to the art of reproductions and yearly assembles a number of exhibitions of considerable value, of both national and international derivation.
The present show includes many well known artists and many widely diversified technics, Among the more familiar exhibitors are: Fiske Boyd, Howard Cook, Wharton Esherick, Susan Willard Flint, Emil Ganso, Norman Kent, Rockwell Kent, Charles K. Landis, Hubert Logan, Leo J. Meissner, Thomas W. Nason, Margaret J. Patterson, Angelo Pinto, Salvatore Pinto, Hobson Pittman, Yoshijiro Urushaibara and Ermest Watson.
The Mildred Boericke Prize for the best print in the exhibition has this year been awarded to Salvatore Pinto for his "Beach Scene". Honorable mentions were granted to Isaac Friedlander and Rudolph Ruzicka.
