To the Art Critic:
In order that you may see the Brooklyn Society of Etchers exhibits in advance of the opening should you care to, this is to inform you that you can see them from Monday, November 25th until Saturday, December 1st at the studio of Mr. Frederick Reynolds, 17 East 14th Street by appointment. They will be in process of hanging on December 1st and 2d, so that you may prefer to wait until they are hung before you see the exhibition. However, if you prefer to see them in the disordered state of hanging, we should be glad to open the Print Galleries of the Museum to you on these days.
Very truly yours,
ARTHUR H. TORREY
for the Brooklyn Museum

The 13th Annual Exhibition of the Brooklyn Society of Etchers at the Brooklyn Museum will be a comprehensive affair, as it will include 270 prints. Although there are 77 active members, there will be 144 exhibiting artists. In these figures is the evidence of the Society's national scope. Although it bears the name of the Brooklyn Society of Etchers in deference to its inception by the Brooklyn Museum, its exhibitions include the work of artists from all over the country.
The three usual prizes will be awarded by the jury, namely: the Mrs. Henry F. Noyes Prize for the best print in the exhibition; the Kate W. Arms Memorial Prize for the best print by a member of the Society and the Nathan I. Bijur Prize for the best print by any exhibitor not a member of the Society.
The officers elected for the Society's current year are John Taylor Arms, President; Anne Goldthwait, Vice-President; Frederick Reynolds, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer; Morris Greenberg, Recording Secretary.
The exhibition opens on December 3d with a private view and on December 4th to the public and will continue until the first of the year.
