Pamphile

Flourished circa C.E. 50, Epidaurus, Greece

Pamphile (Pamphila), a historian from Epidaurus, wrote the Historical Commentaries, a comprehensive history of Greece comprising thirty-three books. Only fragments of the work survive, but Pamphila is cited or quoted by many ancient authors, including Photios, Diogenes Laertius, and Suidas.
