Margaret Jones

Date of birth unknown; d. 1648, Boston, Massachusetts

Margaret Jones, a midwife in Charlestown, Massachusetts, was tried and executed for witchcraft in 1648. She was the second woman in America to be executed as a witch, the first being Alse Young in Connecticut in 1647.
