Bourgot
Flourished circa 1350, France
Bourgot was the daughter of Jean le Noir, a manuscript illuminator whose clients included King John II of France (ruled 1350–64). Bourgot learned the art from her father and was employed in his workshop, where together they produced books of hours and other devotional works for the royal court.
