Vitality Arts: My Life, My Celebration

Saturday, January 7, 2023

3–5 pm

Education Gallery and Studios, 1st Floor

Join us in celebrating the talented artists of our Vitality Arts program, a free art-making course for individuals aged fifty-five and over seeking a community-based creative outlet. Over ten weeks, participants visited the special exhibition Really Free: The Radical Art of Nellie Mae Rowe and created art based on themes of identity, culture, race, gender, and age. Drawing inspiration from Rowe’s determination to connect her heart with her work, the students express their artistic voices in various mediums, from drawing and painting to sculpture.

This program is free and open to the public.
