On the eve of the election, and as many are heading to the Brooklyn Museum to vote, visual artist Ed Ruscha, music producer Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, and music entrepreneur Jimmy Iovine chat with Anne Pasternak about the state of American democracy and the role of artists. Ed Ruscha’s painting OUR FLAG (2017), currently on view at the entrance to the Museum, provides a provocative backdrop for this conversation and a powerful symbol for this divisive political moment.
