Teen Night: “Art of Imagination”

Friday, January 27, 2023

5–7:30 pm

Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor

Join us for Teen Night, a teen-led program centered on art and activism! This evening will feature art-making, performances, and much more, inspired by Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech.”

Schedule:

5–6 pm Gallery activities and panel: Engage in a scavenger hunt and search for selected words in Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech.” Then, join up-and-coming photographer Cierra Spooner, fashion designer Tianna Osbourne, and hair stylist and model Monique Mundy as they share their creative processes and inspirations in the “Polymath of Colors” panel discussion, moderated by BkM Teens.

5:30–7:15 pm Art-making and food: Enjoy snacks, create self-portrait collages, design your own hat, respond to our Talkback Walls, and more!

6–7:30 pm Performances: Close out the evening with performances by step team Lady Dragons, rapper Gee.Vee, dance team Soul Fusion, DJ Bianca Perez, and other acts—plus an open mic!

This program is free; registration is required. Open to all teens 14+. Follow #bkmteens on Instagram and Facebook for more details. All participants must abide by our community agreements. See here for our most up-to-date health and safety protocols.

Teen Night is organized by the Teen Night Planning Committee, our paid teen internship in public programming.
