5–7:30 pm
Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor; Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor
Zines connect people—and so will our second 2024 Teen Night, a teen-led program centered on art and activism! This evening will feature zine-inspired art-making, performances, and much more, just before the closing of our exhibition Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines.
5–6 pm Gallery activities: Learn about Copy Machine Manifestos through teen-led pop-up talks. Then, play bingo to discover amazing works in the exhibition.
5:45–7:15 pm Art-making and food: Enjoy snacks, design a temporary tattoo, create your own zine, build a community digital story, respond to our talk-back walls, and more.
6–7:30 pm Performances: Close out the evening with performances by poets Damian Thomas and Aaliyah Capellan, vocalist Keimela Leitch, and guitarists Kean Lane and Leo.
Free; registration is required. Open to ages 14–19. Follow #bkmteens on Instagram and Facebook for more details.
Teen Night is organized by the Teen Night Planning Committee, our paid teen internship in public programming.
