Studio Immersion: Spike Lee and Photography SOLD OUT

Sunday, February 4, 2024

2–6 pm

Education Studios, 1st Floor

This program is sold out. Tour our special exhibition Spike Lee: Creative Sources with a museum guide and learn how the filmmaker is influenced by sports, music, family, and Black culture. See how photographers David Lee, Gordon Parks, and Richard Avedon create dynamic compositions that capture the essence of their subjects. Then, head to the studio, where artist and educator Jaizi Abedania will guide you through camera operation, studio lighting, and digital inkjet printing. Learn to create expressive portraits that tell your story through pose, props, and fashion. End the day with a professionally printed photograph to take home. Cameras will be provided.

Tickets are $100 and include admission to Spike Lee: Creative Sources. Member tickets are $80. Not a Member? Join today!
