Deborah Jiang-Stein, author of the memoir Prison Baby, will be joined by Gloria Steinem for an authentic and intimate conversation about the mass incarceration of women, mental illness and substance abuse within prisons nationwide, the collateral damage when mothers are incarcerated, and community alternatives to incarceration that work. This conversation will raise provocative questions about criminal justice in America, and how incarceration affects individuals, families, and communities throughout the nation.
