Join us for this six-day course to help K–8 educators discover object-based learning methods for social studies and the arts. Practice and reflect on dynamic, interactive teaching strategies designed to help students analyze, interpret, and create works of art. Explore various approaches for helping students who learn in many different ways, all of which support the New York City Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts (Visual Arts) benchmarks and Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy. By the end of the course, you will have a greater understanding of our resources (collection, library, education programs) and how to use them to support your teaching environment.
