Cats on Broadway (The Bruce High Quality Foundation, 2007, 92 min.).
A documentary about The Bruce High Quality Foundation‘s rendition of the popular Broadway musical Cats, which was performed on Broadway in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Features a cast of neighborhood characters (shopkeeper, minister, hoodlum, college student, prostitute) in the context of the area’s gentrification—with everyone dressed like a cat. One year later, cast, crew, and audience reflect on their "Broadway" experience. Tickets are included in Museum admission and are available in advance at www.museumtix.com or at the Visitor Center.
Presented with the support of The Wall Street Journal and Absolut.
