Performance: How We Are Connected

Saturday, October 20, 2012

2:30–2:30 pm

Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

The New International Center of Diverse Artists (NICODA) presents How We Are Connected, a six-year response to National Geographic’s Genographic Project that will explore a different region each year. For its premiere season, NICODA will collaborate with the Brooklyn Museum, El Museo del Barrio, and LaGuardia Performing Arts Center to present How We Are Connected—The Caribbean.  This dynamic, multimedia performance creates cultural connections through theater, music, dance, and science, exploring the performers’ collective ancestral journey from the beginning of human life at the Fertile Crescent to the Caribbean Basin. A Q&A will immediately follow the performance.

How We are Connected—The Caribbean was created by Raquel Miller, conceived and directed by Ari Laura Kreith, and written by Jenny Lyn Bader and J. Stephen Brantley.

Event is free with Museum admission. We suggest advance admission purchase to reserve your place. Museum Members receive free entry; please call (718) 501-6326 for reservations.
