Join us this month for an art-making workshop inspired by African Innovations, the Museum’s reinstalled collection of African art. Explore meaningful art-making practices that connect objects with students’ personal experiences, and discover how creating and having tactile experiences with works of art can expand students’ aesthetic awareness, content knowledge, literacy skills, and cultural understanding.
K–12 educators in all subject areas are welcome to attend this free event. Participants will receive free Museum passes and teaching materials.
Advance registration is required. Please email teacher.services@brooklynmuseum.org or call (718) 501-6244 to RSVP.
