Now Be Here #2, NYC – NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Sunday, October 23, 2016, 9–11 am

NOTE: This event is not open to the public.

In conjunction with the kickoff of A Year of Yes: Reimagining Feminism at the Brooklyn Museum, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, we are proud to present Now Be Here #2, NYC, a continuation of California-based artist Kim Schoenstadt's group portrait project, Now Be Here.

Working with New York–based artist Shinique Smith and photographer Paola Kudacki, Schoenstadt will gather around 1,000 female and female-identifying artists for a group portrait to recognize and celebrate the power and diversity of New York City's women artists.

Because of the limited capacity of this special event, invitation and RSVP are essential. Artists with questions about this event should contact nowbeherenyc@brooklynmuseum.org. The photography shoot is not open to the public and will take place before the Museum opens.

    Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor
