Screening and Community Talk: Fit the Description
Saturday, February 4, 2017
6:30 pm
Created in response to police shootings of unarmed black men and retaliatory violence against officers, Fit the Description (2016) documents conversations between black male civilians and black male police officers. Its goal is to shift the national conversation, which currently polarizes and dehumanizes both communities. Followed by a discussion with Clifton Hollingsworth Jr., retired detective and founder of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care, and Malik Abdul-Rahmaan, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a music producer and composer. 25 free tickets at Admissions at 5:30 pm.
