Film Series: The Most Scared I've Ever Been

Tuesday, October 29, 2019

7 pm

Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

Get into the Halloween spirit as special guests screen and discuss their most memorable and frightening movie experiences. Over three fright-filled nights, filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, playwright Jeremy O. Harris, actress Zazie Beetz, and actor-writer David Rysdahl present the films that made them the most scared they’ve ever been, followed by conversations with each presenter. On Halloween night, the series closes with an after party featuring a cinematic audio-visual DJ set by Little Cinema. (NOTE: The rest of the Museum is closed October 29.)

Schedule:

  • October 29: The Evil Dead (Sam Raimi, 1981, 85 min.) on opening night with Jim Jarmusch (NOTE: The rest of the Museum is closed on this date.)
  • October 30: Eve’s Bayou (Kasi Lemmons, 1997, 106 min.) with Jeremy O. Harris
  • October 31: Under the Shadow (Babak Anvari, 2016, 84 min.) with Zazie Beetz and David Rysdahl

This series is co-presented with production company Animal Kingdom.

Tickets are $16 for each event and include Museum general admission. Member tickets are $14. All tickets also include free entry to the after party on Thursday, October 31. Not a Member? Join today!
